here is a bash upon a trooper from the 9th company of the Regiment de Marche du tchad.
This Free French unit was the infantry element of the French 2me DB (general Leclerc).
The 9th company under the command of Capitaine Drone was the first element to enter Paris.
Because most of the troopers of the 9th company where former Spanish Republicans, this company was called "La nueve" (the 9th in Spanish).
Like every vehicles in the French army the "neuve" vehicles had names, but spanish names.
Capitaine Drone jeep was named :"Mort aux Cons".

This trooper has the Spanish republican flag patch on his right arm.
He has the 2nd DB unit insignia on the right pocket.
Like all the colonial troops the Regiment de Marche du Tchad use the "Cheche" scarf.
He use the Colonial infantry "bonnet de Police" (cap).
