There are a few rules regarding the sizes of photos and signatures posted here, intended to keep the board as fast as possible and usable for all members.
Photo sizes: The preferred format for photos posted here is .jpg with at least a 50% compression factor. Maximum size of ANY image posted here is 800 x 600 pixels, with 640 x 480 preferred. If you MUST post larger images, please do not place them directly in your thread, but simply include a link(s) with a caution regarding the image sizes.
Personal photos: PLEASE apply a little common sense here. The little photo under your name only displays at 60 x 60 pixels. Do everyone else a favor and create an image that size for your personal photo if you're going to use one. Do NOT link your personal photo to a 1.5 meg 1600 x1200 pixel image and force those with slower connection to download that monster and scale it before the page fully displays.
Signatures: signature files are to be a MAXIMUM of three lines of normal sized board text in height, and any images are to be included in that limit, no more than 200 pixels wide and not containing any severely distacting animations

Hot linking: Hot linking (linking directly to an image on another board or someones else's web server without their permission) is against Sixth Division rules, ezboards terms of use, as well as being considered exceptionally poor net etiquette and akin to outright stealing (in effect you are stealing bandwidth and possibly intellectual property). If you need to show something on another site, it's best to provide a link rather than posting their hosted image directly here.
