WWII was the largest conflict in the history of the world. What started as local wars during the 1930's in far flung places like Manchuria, Spain and Finland grew into a global conflagration that would see battle waged on nearly every continent. Soldiers from across the globe were called upon to do their duty, as soldiers always are: to put their lives on the line in support of their country. Their actions created the face of the world we know today.

Whatever their nation's goals: conquest or defense, tyranny or freedom, the common soldier was faced with great challenges and greater hardships. From the burning deserts of North Africa to the icy snows of Russia to the steaming jungles of the Pacific, the common man commonly served with uncommon valor. It is the remembrance of the bravery and sacrifice of the common soldier of WWII that this group is dedicated to preserving and honoring.

The goal of The Sixth Division is to provide a friendly meeting place with a helpful and welcoming atmosphere for all people interested in representing the soldiers, uniforms and equipment of the WWII era in 1/6 scale. We strive to be a useful resource for everyone from absolute novices making their first uncertain foray into 1/6, to superbly talented master craftspersons with years or even decades of experience.

Our desire is to assist all, at whatever their current skill level, in the quest for greater detail and accuracy. To help all improve their technical skills and enhance their knowledge of the era. To make all of our individual works better by exchanging friendship, information and assistance with other hobbyists, and have some fun along the way.

We welcome all who share these goals and interests to join us.

Welcome to The Sixth Division.
