I am a complete beginner.
I started kit-bashing a month ago. I have no history in modelling as I grew up working class and could not really afford much beyond the odd Airfix plane and soldiers in the 70s.
I have five 1/6 scale figures up and running, with a sixth on the way.
I have gone for the most realistic head sculpts I could find and have gone for Alert Line and Toy City uniforms with only one figure in a Dragon Uniform (though I have customised the head and adding badges/patches/helmet decals from One Sixth King and Patches Of Pride etc.
I am a 48 year old married guy from Australia with a 10 month old son.
I will only be making foreign volunteers of the Wehrmacht and Waffen SS. So they are in German service, but none are actually ethnic German. It is a theme that there has received only a little attention.
So far I have built:
20th Waffen SS (Estonian) - complete
19th Waffen SS (Latvian) - nearly complete
Finnish Volunteer Waffen SS Wiking
Flemish Volunteer Waffen SS Langemarck
369th Reinforced Infantry Division (Croatian) that fought at Stalingrad
A Danish Waffen SS (Danemark) figure is on the way shortly
When all are finished - which should be in the coming weeks, I will post photos for the edification of the forum members.
Thank you for allowing me here.
