Posts: 431 (05/21/09 13:23:06) Banned User Reply Quote More My Recent Posts Message Me Connection Blocking Invite Ignore User's Posts	Tags : None The reference image from the book: "World War II German Police Units" by Gordon Williamson, Close-ups: Basically this figure is Rudolf Anhalt with some small adaptations, like the correct color Shako strap(silver) and added a small black strap for when the silver strap goes under the chin. - Gorget(Ringkragen) is completely scratch build because i couldn't manage myself to batter DiD's. - Standard is from In The Past Toys, customized the complete box and painted parts of the pole and ornament for accuracy. - Large strap to place the pole on is also made by In The Past Toys and is also customized, although i'm not that happy with it's outcome it will do for now.

Now this is the kind of thing that I would pay good money for if it were offered for sale. I just wish the R&D people from the major retailers would cruise this board and check out the figures posted here. These are real works of art. Geno. Paint the collar and cuff in dark brown. Collar tabs are correct for an infantry officer but not for a police one, they must be silver on light green backing (I used Nomad ones for mine). Avoid the 1939 EKI and KVKI for a prewar figure, give him instead a 1914 EKI or some sport badges. Where did you find the svastikas on the pole box ? This is an amazing figure !!! François-Xavier

I don't mind your advice/criticism, i applaud it! : D I'll alter those details you pointed out. The swastikas were a path of trail and error, i tried different materials and constructions but i ended up with using layers of thick paper because it came out as having the best looking result. They sure look easier to do than it actually was to make them.
