Looking good. The 'Rudi' headsculpt is one of my favorite "stereotypical Germans". Is that the light playing tricks on the photo, or does the
helmet have some camo stripes painted on?
(One small nitpick, though. The SS soldier on the left is wearing an *army* sidecap. The Waffen-SS ones have an SS eagle and a Totenkopf, just like the M43 field cap on the man in the middle.) |

I knew there was a problem with the sidecap, but I just loved how it looked with the figure... But I can slap a helmet on him.
He's also got a Wermacht belt, because I had no others, and needed something to hold his gear.. Not a trick of the light on the helmet, though, good observation! There is a camo stripe on the helmet, which actually came that way, with BBI's SS Rifleman Thanks for the comment, Rogue!

I have a small nit-pic... you would never put a stick grenade through the loops that secure the breadbag to the belt, I have a real bread bag and a repro stick
grenade and there is no way it will go through the loops while attached to the belt. the second is what looks to be a combat knife the guy is reaching for,
these were either tucked into the opening of the camo smock or in the top of the jackboot, 3rd is the dual canteens on the breadbag, otherwise looks good other
than what was prviously mentioned

Ahh, I wasn't sure how that'd work in real life, I just wanted a new place to stick the grenade, and the knife.
I'd seen the dual canteens on a Gerbirgsjager figure, Gunther, and thought I'd try it on a regular figure, but thanks for the tips, Pzrwest, I'll fix 'em up!

I think it's entirely plausible that a soldier of any army that was expecting to be in action for a long time, and had access to one, would conceivably
carry a second canteen. Especially in terrain like the mountains or the desert, in which sources of fresh water are less common and the rear supply areas
aren't always readily accessible.
Also, soldiers are known to hide weapons, especially knives, in numerous places. If it's historically plausible, and you like the way it looks, I say leave it. |

You can tuck the stick grenade in the tall marching boots of the officer / NCO.
