Less is Nakamura (Body mods to shorten fig) |

Major Archie Gates recent post of his IJA soldier (excellent job) reminded me that I didn't post this here after I posted it on OSW.I think 3R's
Nakamura was one of the past years best releases. Also think he is too tall.So I decided to cut him up and shorten him.Cut 1/4 in from upper and lower legs.Cut
1/4 in from forearms.Cut 3/16 in from upper arms.Cut and removed section from waist(pics show it better than I can explain.Removed 3/16 in from neck post which
only made head slightly loose, still fits well.Legs are solid soft rubbery material.Rebonded with metal pins cut from coat hangers and glued with Gorilla
glue.Legs are probably stronger than orginal.I think legs are solid to help figure balance and stand well.Body and arms are hard styrene type plastic that
styrene solvent works well on.Waist was rejoined with styrene strips.A small ammount of articulation was lost at the waist.Uniform sleeves and cuffs had to be
rolled in slightly.

that turned out looking great, TM. Does the tunic look too big to you when you have the figure right in front of you? I have a Japanese figure that I did
before the DID/3R figure came out, and I was thinking about getting one of the uniforms for mine.

Tunic is large and loose on unmodified figure.More so on "shorty".
