More to come when I have a chance to fill and sand some things. It shouldn't be too long before this one is in paint....

Started on my recently arrived Battlegrounds Puma. The only power tools I used were my dremel, drill, and jigsaw. I ground off the 3 smaller vision ports and
replaced them with handmade ones. I reshaped the front and rear ports and will do more when I get some putty. The hatch holes on the turret were cut out, new
rings made, and new hatches cut to fit the holes. The turret hole was groung out a bit and the turret ring was tapered a little so it seated better. I ground
down anything that wasn't supposed to be sticking up such as the raised edges near the exhaust. I was a little rough with the dremel so there are some
things that really need to be filled and sanded smooth. I cut off most of the rivets on the upper hull and replaced them with linoleum nails. I had some
issues with the bottom of the hull being misshapen. The very bottom panel is at a weird angle. To get my wheels spaced properly from the fenders I added
brackets to the bottom which are removable. Not going too accuracy crazy but it's a nice change to work on something that is pretty much all there! Here
are the first few pics in primer:

Looking good!!! When i do mine (will be a 234/1) i will be using a couple set of Toychest and Collectible's 250
visors that you can buy loose sets of. There were a couple parts that came out a little off being the hull bottom (on some but not all of the 234s done, i think it is heat damage), the rear air intake on one was molded too deep, and the barrel and muzzlebrake leave something to be desired. We are working on (with some other folks working on their own) new hatches, gun barrel, smoke dischargers, muzzlebrake. Hopefully later on we or somebody will do a 75mm L/24 gun for these and the 251s for the support versions. Tim (plasticpanzers) |

Here are a few quick pics in the garage. I realized after I started on the camo that I didn't take any pictures of it reprimed or in the base yellow.
I'll have to get outside during the day to get some good pictures, it was late when these were taken. Still have some touch ups to do.
A little work grinding and the barrel came out ok. I may still swap it out for a piece of dowel in the future if I don't just fall in love with the AA turret and ditch this one. I think it's turned out pretty well with minimal work. |

A few quick outdoor shots. The colors show a lot better and look much more blended. Now I see that the tree shadows kind of distort things but it makes for a
cooler camo effect.

A lot of nice work on this piece! I like the camo scheme you chose and the outdoor pics are great!!!!
