I'm interested in this, but I checked LA Cal-tek's site and couldnt find it. Any idea on the price?
Jokes don't go over well on the internet. Once on a forum for the Medal of Honor video game, I said the sequel should take place in the Boer War
instead of WWII. No one got the joke; they thought I was serious. I was thoroughly lambasted, browbeaten, and dressed down. Trades:

There were two ponchos: early war it was made from OD rubberized cotton but material shortages led to a synthetic resin-coated OD nylon fabric. As Ray pointed
out, neither poncho had a hood-- both had a high drawstring neck.

OK for Korean war I think. They have hoods in the Korean War Memorial. http://www.koreanwar.org/html/korean_war_memorials.html

Hey Sarge,
Do you mean that this set comes with two Ponchos? A WW2 era poncho without a hood and a Korea/ Vietnam era poncho with a hood? WW2 Ponchos definitely did not have a hood. The Parka, Wet Weather had a draw string hood, but it was really different from the Poncho, Synthetic Resin Coated, having 4 spring loaded hooks and eyes on the chest. Check out the Enjames' "Government Issue Collector's Guide US Army ETO" page 45 or Windrow's "US Army Uniforms 1941-45 in color photographs" page 26 for photos.

Didn't DML do a couple of poncho's a few years back. As I recall they released a cut off version with the German figure Rudolph and then later they did
an operation Cobra edition of Rifleman Scott who also came with a poncho. A few years after that, just when Mikerian went south, someone got hold of a load of
those DML poncho's and they became available as loose items in some of the parters. I think I picked up about five of them at the time although they're
in storage now and I can't remember if they had a hood....I don't think they did have though so they were actually correct for WWII. IIRC though the
only downside to these were the fact that they weren;t rubberised.
I'll have to go through my stuff and see if I can find the old DML ones, if I can locate them I'll post a pic. Rgds Pete "Pay attention to me boy, I'm not just talking to hear muh head roar!
