A few days ago i e-mailed Toys Hammer(agents for Toys City in Europe) with the proposal for RAD and BDM uniform sets.
I bet not only the cap would look stunning but the whole uniform too, wouldn't it rock having those uniforms sets available?!
Looking at how Toys City pulled of their latest black visor caps makes me believe they're the ones that are up to the task for these uniform sets, in particular for making a RAD cap.
The reply i received:
"thank you very much for your email.I have conveied your information to
the highest level of Toys City.We will think it over."

I would already be really happy if they make a set as basic as the RAD member to the left in the image below.

RAD uniforms were pretty common among Volkssturm units, e.g. Freikorps Sauerland, so it would be quite useful for late war bashes. For early war, don't forget the spade!

BDM is such a niche (like RAD), but a well-made set with "Affenhaut" and perhaps a Flakhelferin uniform might attract attention.

Great to see some support here, i know there are more people out there who like to have a RAD figure but are unable to do so.
I wish i could already say that it's going to be possible soon but we have to wait for now, if they consider making RAD uniform sets, it will be of unquestionable quality!

Indeed, I'll buy without any doubt a RAD Arbeitsmann and a RAD Officer ... complete ... uniform sets.

Because they are particular and because, as Björn said it, they can be used for volkssturm's volunteers.

Same thing for a BDM uniform !

And I'll add that this is indeed perhaps more for Toys City than for DiD, in order that DiD can't do the same thing with these Figures or Uniform Sets that they did with T.Becker (certainly some after-effects to have worked before at Dragon ).

You were wrong to do that, DiD !

Although i need to give DiD credits for their offerings(certainly in the past, Josef Wunsche, Willi Baver, Hermann Weber, Timo Ducca and Rudolf Anhalt) they just seem to be unable to get it right, every release needs quite some modifications to get it historically correct, it's annoying. It always looks like they didn't give it that last bit of "umph" to get it all correct.
Toys City delivers high quality cloths, the stitching is outstanding(Toys City puts DML to shame) and their fabric is good too.
The only things i would change is not including the boots with their sets and use different buttons for the uniforms.

Side note,
Often when Toys city previews a new set they have and interesting head sculpture on the body they use to display the set.
They might want to think about selling those too, they look great.

Each Figure released by DiD have systematically required corrections of uniformologic errors, but at least, they didn't have, before the announcement then the release of T.Becker, a dishonest marketting policy worthy of Dragon, under false pretenses of this supposed world economic crisis (what's a good joke) !

Now, concerning Toys City, that's right that their products are nicely made (they remind me of Dragon when their products were of a real quality, not like nowadays), but they are all the same a little expensive without a nude figure.

Besides, and I know that I'm not alone to think about that, I always wonder if Toys City are in fact (or not), produced by Dragon.
There are really a lot of similarities between their products and the Dragon's products (same rifles, slings, certain equipments, colours of camouflages, size of camo smocks, and so on ...).
Is Toys City in fact the new "high quality" products section of Dragon's products (in order to sell at a more expensive price their normal quality products like before 2007, compared to the poor quality of their products today) ?
My doubt is always present.

And don't forget the Women's political uniforms. They played a roll too. I had sent a few suggestions to another manufacturer to see if there was an interest in making carded uniform sets or complete figures. I recieved a positive response. However, there has to be a market for these sets as the production costs are much higher than they used to be.

These are just a couple of the prints I sent for their consideration.

I don't know how the manufacturers do their market research, but I thougt I might do a little polling of my own just to see if there would be any interest in the female figures. So far it seems that the BDM girl has drawn the most interest. It makes sense as she would be a nice match for one of DiD's HJ figures. We'll see how it goes.

I got the same automated response from them as you did. I hope we can get something new (and political) from them. Hate to just keep getting combat figures all the time. Remember folks, without politics, there is no war. SO therefore by its very definition, politics must be discussed and uniforms displayed. It's a must.

I'm not sure what to think of that but i keep my fingers crossed that they will considering making these sets.
