Interesting. Based on the MG lafette on his back, it look like he's the assistant gunner to Gustav Bayer. They even used the same background photo for the
preview pics on both figures. A FJ version of Erich and Heinrich?
I may end up getting these two, especially if some of the online dealers offer a discount when buying both. My collection is currently lacking any Italian Front Fallschirmjagers.

Doesn't look too bad! Nice looking FG42, also!
Be interesting to see what the extra gear is, might be some surprises!

I like this one a lot. Depending on the price and extra gear, I might pick up my first Gear+

Nice. I'm in for the Bayer and Koch pair. Sure looks like Bayer has a 2nd pattern "step-in" jump smock, wonder if Koch has a second pattern camo
jump smock too - hope so, it's been a while since either has been available. Nice to see a plain (non-camo) FG42 bandolier too.

It's good to see the return of the DML FG42.....i only hope they have improved on their earlier FG42 bandoliers as they were just so wrong...looks as
though this could be a very interesting pair....if my eyes dont deceive me it looks as though both FJ's have the larger H/S' looking at the photo's
the helmets are a very good fit on both sculpts and i doubt that DML would return to the smaller FJ helmet they released some time back.

Both look like the small helmets to me... but otherwise finally some nice new figures from DML. If Toys City hadn't released their FG-42s a little while
back, I'd be all over these.

DML is on a roll, this one is looking great, the open mouth head sculpture will be in demand.

That's because the recent headsculpts have been slightly on the large side recently Templar05,i posted in the Matt Barkley thread last week about the
increase in H/S size although i could'nt believe the Konrad Furst sculpt was even bigger than Barkleys but those sculpts are perfect for the larger
original DML FJ helmets.

Not bad. I'll have to see the price range and the full detail on the gear. Still some mighty outdated stuff mixed in with some very desirable stuff.
Would be nice to see a dealer break if you buy the pair. PS - Any 1/6th mfg reading this: we need MARSH smocks! Splinter's been done to death!
*Still* Looking for the MDFC Blurred Edge Winter/Sniper Mask!

I really like the headsculpt a lot, although it is a bit too big to look right in the new smaller FJ helmets. However the smaller helmet looks perfect on the
Bayer head, at least based on the pictures they've shown so far.

DML have'nt gone back to the small FJ helmet...that model only appeared with four figures from recollection...Zimm,Stangenburg,Kleist & Schnell...there
was a mention that the smaller FJ helmet had re-appeared with the Viktor Mohr winter FJ released a short while back but that's not the case the normal DML
FJ helmet was included...the reason the helmet is fitting so well on these two FJ's is the probability that the headsculpts are as large as the Barkley
& Furst sculpt's...i used the Barkley sculpt for a FJ bash i was putting together and the fit of the helmet was excellent.
Sorry Major A.G i confused the DML FG42 ammo bandolier with the Toys City version for a moment there......if anything the material is slightly too wide where it lies aross the shoulders & back but that would be nitpicking....the Toys City version does not have the material across the entire top of the bandolier but is a nice width and fit across the shoulders and back the TC version also omit's the webbing strap in the centre at the back of the neck.....it also includes blocks of white cardboard to fill out the ammo pouches which needs to be remedied. Oh ok, I just assumed it was the smaller helmet because it fits like a beanie cap...
I mean I know they fit tight but come on
The Bayer one looks perfect to me.

I'm not saying the helmets weren't tight - just that, aside from perhaps the first picture which must be a guy with a watermelon head, there is always
some space between the brim and the head - at least room to stick in a few fingers. In the figure, it's practically air tight. I mean, his ears appear to
stick out as wide as the helmet! I dont see anything close to that on any of the above pics.
Maybe it's just the pic, so I'll hold judgment till I see more. That was just my first reaction. And it isnt like that is a reason not to get an otherwise cool figure. It looks like a nice helmet, and one can always find a slightly smaller head. And as the first pic shows, bad fits did happen. I just dont really want my figures to have bad fits.

LOL...I hear ya'...!
in all the pics I've perused..it does seem that the worst fitting helmets were on the guys that, like you said, had a 'watermelon' head!... so this figure pretty much follows that lead as his HS seems to be on the 'wide'-'portly' side... I tend to really appreciate the 'randomness' of the real world and try to translate it to 1/6, especially when a 'group' of figures is represented... for this HS...the DML helmet will be the only one to use, as his noggin will DEFINITELY be too big for the Toys City version! For some reason, I was thinkin' DML would only produce a few figures in the Gear+ line...but I'm Very pleasantly surprised to see them really cranking these out!...and I applaud the idea of this MG 'team'...with the mix-match of smocks and bandoleers...fairly representative. I don't think it's a too small helmet issue, I think it's a too large of a head issue!
