SS 82nd Medic patch mess up??? |
Lead | |
|
I have not received my set yet, but noticed on a few of the loose parts vendors that the (what seems to be) nicely done 82nd patch say "AIRBORME" and
not "AIRBORNE"... Can anyone who has one conform this? It's not a major deal, as I do have a ton of CVI replacements, but for $80 you'd think
they'd have a guy to proof read the spelling of AIRBORNE...

Wow. Thanks for pointing that out. And to think I just bought that loose. Oh well, easy fix with a marker (I have kids so I'm sure I've got a
matching colored marker somewhere
As Miguel said, it is a nice patch other than that.
"Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, chocolate in one hand, martini in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming "WOO-HOO what a ride!"

Pretty much like the Lionroar PE set with the "DDMJANSK" shield...
Try 2/12th scale figures. Twice the detail! |

From the distributor: this printing error was made by the printing company of the manufacturer. Corrections have been made and will be shipping to all the
dealers that ordered the figures. The corrected patches will be distributed accordingly to the number of figures that were initially ordered. Contact your
dealer for a replacement.

It's always good to see mistakes like this addressed. Kudos to Soldier Story!

I see a lot of typo's in products from China it's pretty common. Most people over there setting up machines and such don't speak or read English
they usually just copy what they see and if they accidentally hit the M instead of the N they probably just didn't realize it or they guy setting up the
printer just didn't know it was a typo not knowing English. Can anyone scan it or snap a pic. I would love to see it and get a laugh.

Kudo to Soldier Story and their Distributor that they take note and even try to fix a tiny mistake that not many people will even care about. ( I got my figure
and this m and n typo thing don't bother me a bit). This kind of customer service will sure earn my hard earned money.
Now if some one can tell the other company or try to contact them to tell them to do the same and replace or fix my broken piece of crap wood and metal MG 34 which I got it from eBay. |

A little tangential; I was checking out the SS 82nd trooper's 1911 .45, admiring the working safety and slide-top and grabbed a DiD .45 from the David
Merrill kit to compare it with and noticed the round at the top of the DiD .45 magazine is in backwards. I love little oddities like these. Makes you realize
the human factor in today's oh so automated world

I have no problem at all if SS didn't even change the emblem I'm sure I can live with it.
But kudos to soldier story for their moves to replaces the emblems. |

Thanks Brian, I read the review on MD before but some how missed that. It is funny they can mess up so easily you would have thought SS would have someone on
the payroll that could read English.
You have to give SS credit for sending out replacements some companies wouldn't bother but I would actually hang on to the one they made the mistake on. In the collectors market a mistake like that is something that can make an item a little more collectible.
