My question is how prevalent were "First Nation" peoples in the Red Army, especially the units from Siberia? Were units from Siberia still mostly white/Slavic, or was there a decent contingent of Inuits? Would Inuits have been integrated with other units in the Red Army, or would they have remained mostly within Siberian-only units?
I guess my other question would be, for those of you who have lived in areas with Inuit/Eskimo populations, would this headsculpt, when capped in a big fur cap, be passable as an Inuit? If not, then perhaps a Soviet soldier from the (mostly deserted) border region with Mongolia/China?
One possibility is to have him represent one of the Siberian re-inforcements from the winter of 1941, where the fresh Siberian troops, who felt completely at home in the ungodly cold, played a large role in halting the German advance on Moscow.

I will certainly
order him when my headsculpt painting improves. I am having the worst time trying to master it. I am working on one of yours right now that I have probably
stripped and repainted 3 or 4 times! Oh, and one more thing - that shapka-ushanka is PERFECT! Where did you get the fur? I am planning to heavily modify a DiD
fur cap in order to make it much thinner and smaller.
