I'd say you're already doing them justice. I wish mine looked as good!
I broke down and bought a dremel.

Heavygang, I have to agree with DougOSU, you are doing them justice. Great skin tones, very lifelike features...let's see him mounted on a body
soon.....Jim

Haha, it's a great repaint but it reminds me too much of an older version of the comedian Brian Regan! Might just be me...still a great repaint. He looks fantastic.

Approved !
I recently did some paint jobs on some of my earlier heads myself, to complete a collection of pics of all the heads I've made , and frankly it's not easy. I find that getting an even skin tone on resin is quite a struggle. As you go on you learn, and some of my earlier ones are a bit rough in terms of finish ( and some of their eyes are too close together ! ), and they will be quietly retired once the moulds are worn out.... but I shall remould the best ones in future sets , to keep them available . Anyway, well done Steve. And who Brian Regan ? |

Thanks guys for the kind words. He really does look like that guy...lol.
Tony, two days ago my order came in for the five new heads you sent, I think you are right about the older heads. I think the older one are still fantastic but your new heads are incredible. One thing that seems to help with the coats of skin tone I put down is a coat of dull coat after washing the heads. I will be getting more as time goes on so please keep them coming nothing tops off a figure like your sculpts. Working on sculpt # 59 tonight, this is no joke it looks just like my dad when he was a young man, like he was the model for it. Pleased I am progressing thanks guys. Steve |
