If you have been following my tribulations with another member (who shall remain nameless) in The Stockade section, then you will be pleased to hear of my unexpected happy ending. Ed, or "Standby54", read of my difficulties (EVEN THOUGH HE WAS IN NO WAY INVOLVED) and offered to help. Six weeks ago, I had an agreement with another board member who sells his insignia in this forum, but this person took my trade and never delivered his end of the bargain. Anyway, long story short, Ed emailed me out of the blue and said that he was in the 1/6th insignia business too, and offered to send me my KM insignia free of charge, "just to get his name out there". I naturally took him up on his offer, and his care package arrived yesterday. His work is of very high quality and is comparable to the best of CVI's product line. Kreigsmarine, or KM insignia as it is refered to here, is hard to come by. He even sent me more pieces than I had asked for, with a greater variety of different ranks, including specialist patches. The KM insignia shortage is especially painful since Battlegeartoys make a beautiful KM field grey tunic, but no insignia - except the eagle - to go along with it. KM insignia is vastly different from regular Heer insignia with its shoulder board's pointed ends and embroidered anchors and therefore existing Heer boards cannot be modified. Anyway, thanks again Ed, and my KM Normandy defenders project can now begin!
