This is the DID 251C halftrack, repainted, detailed and weathered.
Many modifications and details added to the stock vehicle.
Replaced stock tools with Mike Stannard's pieces. Some attached to vehicle with his clamps and fittings, others with Rio Rondo leather straps and DML buckles(large ones from back of DML german trousers, small ones from the old German helmets). Added Mike's towcable to the front. Adapted his 250 antenna mount and used his great flexible base and short antenna. Replaced the phillips screws on the tow hooks with hex bolts. Covered the phillips scres on the engine's hinges.
Added the 250 turn indicators from the pieces for the 250 by Panzerwerk. Also addes Panzerwerk Notek light. Added small hinges to the outside storage boxes for detail.
Pushed the seats forward as they came farther back than my reference photos showed of the real vehicle. Has to replace the shift stick and other levers. Attached the whole piece and levers with AVES epoxy.The readio is from Panzerwerk. Added bits and pieces of equipment inside the vehicle and out. Tarps made from various pieces of cloth from parts box. Tied them up with Rio Rondo leather and MFisher cloth ribbon.
On the lower areas added a mix of white glue and dirt to give texture. The whole underside of the vehicle is weathered as to avoid any clean areas showing in low angled images. Repainted vehicle with Tamiya acrylics, covered stock national crosses with masking tape and added at the end the divisional and tactical markings from John's Stuff decals.
Weathered everything with washes, the airbrush and dry-brushing.

The hardest thing about this project was the weight of the vehicle. Made it very hard to work in the details. Along the way had a bad back for over a week due to careless handling of the beast!
