I went to see The Incredible Hulk at the theatre last night and saw the trailer for 'Miracle at St. Anna' beforehand. Directed by Spike Lee, it is set during the Italian campaign of WW2 and focuses on a group of soldiers from the 92nd Division (Buffalo Soldiers). The movie looked quite good in the trailer. Anyone else seen it?

Finally!!! Its been a long time since Hollywood released a good WW2 action movie!!!! I looking forward to this.. Especially its a story about the 92nd Division
that is rarely heard of or never told in US History...

I am all for this and glad the story is being told. A hero is a hero regardless of color. The only thing that bugs me, is how that race-baiter, little b@st@rd, Spike Lee started something with Clint Eastwood or Flags of our Father's to get himself some publicity. It was low and not
called for. But, I will see this in spite of Lee's antics.

Maybe it was a 'snapshot in time', and it happens to be a captured US halftrack used by the Germans?
See, even Hollywood is using ideas from this hobby, even the bad ones!

The father of a fellow who works for me was a Medic in the 92nd throughout their campaign in France. I will certainly mention the film to him, as he's a WWII buff and was greatly influenced by his father. |
