Good Grief....$100 for DML's Matt Barkley!

You read that correctly....$100 for DML's Matt Barkley.....he arrived last week at Modellersloft here in the UK and is being sold for £60.00....i bought the DID Private Daniel figure for £70.00 and thought that was a high price to pay...i also bought the Soldier Story DAK figure on Ebay for £48.00 which i thought was fair, especially for the goddies included in that box set...how on earth can DML justify those price's?.....even Cyber-Hobby's Von Kluge was cheaper...it came to...

Finally have finished the first of the Jumbo Sherman kits. The Jumbo was designed to assault defended
positions in Europe like the Westwall but found a better use as a lead tank in columns of Shermans. As
its bow armor was double that of a regular Sherman and it had a 7inch thick mantlet there are alot of
incidents of them surviving direct hits on their bows from German 75mm and 88mm rounds. Although

Bloody Tarawa "Betio has fallen" 1943 D+3

Here is my version of a Tarawa marine on Nov 23 1943 D+3. As most know and who have read about this battle it must have been unimaginable! I wanted to depict a marine who has fought for 3 days on that bloody atoll. I chose a Tony Barton headsculpt for this figure and I tried to capture a very battle weary marine. I cannot say enough about Tonys headsculpts, they are just fantastic! I also wanted to depict him with a few japanese war souviners. I have done a few marines over the years...

Border guard major in East prussia october 1944. Even if under the control of the NKVD (Soviet State police), the border guards units were often used as regular frontline infantry during the war. This major is wearing his service dress with blue breeches less common at the end of the war but still worn by some officers.

A-frame Assembly

I see alot of pics of the a-frame/battle bag/zeltbahn assembled wrong so I thought I would post pics of the real thing assembled. The battlebag goes under the zeltbahn, and the messtins are at the top horizontaly. Here is a pic of my real items assembled and attached to the y-straps. The narrow end is at the top connected to the d-rings on the y-straps. The auxillary front straps go under the arms and connec to the bottom corners of the a-frame assembly.

Hey guys, I am working on some wooden bases for a few airborne figures. I am putting them on 4 x 4 blocks of wood. I would like to attach metal 101st and 82nd and marine badges to the wood blocks. I guess I am looking for a size of about 1.5 to 2 inches tall. Does anyone know where I can find something like this online??

Filthy 13 Question

Has anybody ever tried to bash the entire Filthy 13 or even a partial group of bashes of this unit? Just curious. With the figures William, Corbin, Ricky and the soon-to-be George coming out that is almost a quarter of the unit. If you have the bashes of the 13, please show them off. I'd love to see them.Too bad one of the companies doesn't release a few different heads that resemble the real Filthy 13.

120 mm german mortar + carrier + ammo carrier

Hello everyone,

I´ve finally decided to take some photos of the 120 mm mortar and accesories.

The mortar is the russian version with some details added, a "bit" of sandpaper and some coats of paint.

The carrier and the ammo carrier also have some scratch pieces and were finished with the same paint.

I´m thinking to give the whole thing a layer of dust and some weathering, but by now is enough.

Also I´m working in some ammo boxes and...
