"The Forgotten Soldier" finally being filmed!

There has been rumours for a few years now that "The Forgotten Soldier by Guy Sajer is about to be turned into a movie. Director Paul Verhoeven (RoboCop, Total Recall, Starship Troopers, Soldier of Orange, Black Book, etc) will be the director. Considering that East Front movies from a German perspective aren't thick on the ground (which one was the latest? "Stalingrad" 1993?), this is something to look forward to.

New WW2 movie - 'Miracle at St Anna'

I went to see The Incredible Hulk at the theatre last night and saw the trailer for 'Miracle at St. Anna' beforehand. Directed by Spike Lee, it is set during the Italian campaign of WW2 and focuses on a group of soldiers from the 92nd Division (Buffalo Soldiers). The movie looked quite good in the trailer. Anyone else seen it?

it was another ok movie but 90% of it was completely fake for instants how can a computer blow up from a virus, how can some assassins break into a very high facility security center, how can a adult girl and boy impersonate a police,air force, rescue center voice thing and national security com link (example: car 65 this is center 1 take a turn on the right on gedus street) all that kind of fake crap but other than that its pretty good.

This is about the Marines in WW1. It never says which regiment this company is in, which considering the number of flashbacks and such, it might be a good thing. I found it disjointed, going back and forth, I just couldn't get a bering on it.

Yesterday, I went to Wal-Mart and picked up one of the new 21st century MG34's. In addition, I found the movie "Thin Red Line" in the clearance bin for $5.00. Also found for $5.00 "Attack on Pearl Harbor" which is a documentary. All in all, it was a good day. Thanks...Kat
